APPOINTMENTS

The surgery is open from 8.00am and you can make your appointment from that time onwards.  A standard consultation is between 10 and 15 minutes. Long appointment are available on request (eg Medical, counselling, complex issues or a surgical procedure). Please inform our receptionist when making your appointment so we can allocate extra time for you.

In the case of an emergency or acute problems please discuss the matter with our receptionist so that we can arrange an appointment as soon as possible.  You are able to make an appointment with the doctor of your choice if they are on duty and appointments are available.  Alternatively we can make an appointment with another doctor.

Our practice is appointment based and whilst we are happy to see patients if time is available, our first responsibility is to those who have made appointments.

Emergencies are prioritised.

Please tell our receptionist if more than one member of your family needs to see the doctor so we can allocate you enough time.

It is also helpful to inform us if you are having a pap smear or bringing your child for immunisation.

Home Visits

Home visits are available when appropriate.  If a home visit is considered necessary please phone as early as possible so our receptionist can discuss it with your doctor.  Visits are made at lunch time or at the end of the day.

If you have an acute condition we prefer you to visit the surgery as we have the facilities to diagnose and treat problems here and one of our doctors will see you as soon as possible after your arrival.
